Now it may sound like grovel, but it's really "graupel." And who knew there were so many different kinds of precipitation and snow?! I surely didn't. However, "graupel" is what happens when "supercooled droplets of water are collected and freeze on a falling snowflake." HOW COOL IS THAT? "Supercool!" So stop your groveling about what the winter does to your social life and get out there and be amazed at the graupel. It can also look like those little polystyrene balls found in cheap carnival prizes or the Dippin Dots ice cream you can get at carnivals!
