Having lived in Chicago for almost 4 years, I feel I should know some facts about the city I have been trying to call home. The four stars on the municipal flag stand for: Fort Dearborn,  the Chicago Fire,  the World's Columbian Exposition, and the Century of Progress Exposition.

Also, the blue stripes represent the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.
