There are multiple meanings for the word magazine. It can mean the clip you put into a gun that holds the bullets that are fired AND it can mean a publication like US or People.
Here is a poem I wrote using the two different meanings:
A magazine hidden in
A magazine holding it together
Are 2-D bodies air-brushed
To perfection - angry at not
Having one, so gonna take
Some out-of-this-world with
A click-clack sound of
Emptying the clip with
The pleasure of squeezing
The trigger happy trigger
Gat-gat-gat is a gun
For fun - it's not a video game -
They won't come back after
You shut down and reboot -
Shoot! You didn't know that?
That magazine held
The magazine that
Held the bullets that
Took out a generation...
Virtually.
For real.
